We welcome artists and others to apply for membership.
Membership
Membership is suitable for individuals interested in the Otago Art Society, our exhibitions and events. It also allows the member the opportunity to submit works to sell in our shop (subject to OAS evaluation). From October 2018, the Society voted to allow all members the opportunity to present works in our exhibitions. The judge/judges will still select work to enter the shows. This means that presenting art is inclusive for all people in line with the Ara Toi strategy for the city. Artist membership no longer applies.
We have a healthy membership, which has sustained us since the 1870’s, leading to the thriving community that we are today. Couples and families consisting of both members and artist members pay the same family and couple rates.
Members receive:
Subscription to our monthly newsletter.
Invitation to our monthly members night.
Invitation to all exhibition openings.
Opportunity to submit work to be sold in the shop (subject to evaluation).
Pricing:
Individual: $50.00 per annum.
Couple: $70.00 per annum.
Family: $75.00 per annum. *
Student: $20.00 per annum. **
Corporate: $200.00 per annum.
